YM is now back sporting it’s two bladed propeller whilst we await the return of our 4 bladed props from overhaul. Climb parameters remain the same at 65knots for initial climb and 70knots for normal climb. The decent parameters have slightly changed to 2000rpm and 110knots to achieve 1000fpm descent rate, with the usual power reduction technique at the top of the tow.

If anyone has not flown YM with a two bladed prop before, then please have a short familiarisation session with Robin or myself first.


MM is also back in service with a replaced crank case and new cylinders in the engine. It is important that only 100 oil is used for the next 50 hours. There are bottles available in a box on the table next to the oil drum.
